Hope you guys had an awesome summer. But school is started and now we’re getting into a new rhythm. So let’s start it right! Our first Large Group of the year will be at Ida Noyes West Lounge (on the 2nd floor)* this Friday from 7 to 9 PM. We’re very excited to see you all again and to welcome a bunch of newcomers in, ‘cause we’re seeing that God’s doing a new and refreshing thing on this campus already. See you there.
And afterwards we’re having Game Night. So bring your board games if you have any and get ready to hang out and meet new people, and of course to rock some Scrabble.
One more announcement: We are planning a trip to Chinatown on Saturday. Just be ready to relax and have some fun that night.
* You may have heard that it was going to be in the OMSA building but we’ve had to change locations so please don’t get lost on Woodlawn and 57th. Just head down to Woodlawn and 59th.

As the returning members of our fellowship, we’d like to welcome you to AAIV! One of two InterVarsity chapters on campus, we are a proud and active part of a larger global community of fellowships witnessing to college campuses the love of God. Our specific calling at the University of Chicago is to minister to the unique needs of Asians living in America and to act as representatives of both our cultures and our faith to the rest of the campus. You don’t need to be Asian or Christian to join, though! Coming from many cultural, geographical, and spiritual backgrounds, we unite as a heterogeneous group with like desires—to grow our individual relationships with God, to support and challenge each other as a community, and to see God move at the UofC, in Hyde Park, and, of course, in the world as a whole. As a student-led fellowship, we depend on the hearts of our members to dictate the group dynamic—therefore, we’d like to invite you to join us in prayer, worship, studying and meditating on the Word, service, evangelism, fellowship, and discipleship at the UofC AAIV.
If you have any questions at all about the UChicago experience, we can definitely provide some answers. AAIV is composed of people from a variety of cities, states and countries, majors, dorms, clubs, churches, etc. and I’m sure we’ll have at least one person who can specifically address anything you might be curious about.
Also, our leadership team would love to get to know you better and pray for you if there’s anything on your heart or mind that you’d like to share with us. My name is Tiffany. I’m a rising fourth year majoring in sociology and biology, I lived in BJ (Dodd-Mead!) for two years, I LOVE experiencing the changing of each of the four seasons on the quads, and leading a small group has been my favorite AAIV experience so far.
Looking forward to meeting you!
peace love blessings
